Some frequently asked questions about BirdGard™

Q. How does BirdGard™ prevent birds become habituated to the sounds?

A. BirdGard™ technology uses four random features to prevent habituation. The frequency of the distress calls is constantly changing to sound like not just one bird but many different birds in distress. The time lapse between system activations is changing randomly and the order of the distress and predator calls and order of speaker activation are all being constantly and automatically varied.

Q. How do I deal with different species of bird?

A. Eliminate one species at a time. Just plug in the appropriate EPROM chip for the targeted species. The EPROM chip can be easily changed to target different species.

Q. Does BirdGard have automatic switching?

A. Yes. Birdgard systems have a photo sensor that will switch the unit on automatically at dawn and off at dusk if required.

Q. Are the systems easy to install?

A. Yes. Installation is simple. Plug in the control unit, position the compact speakers. Select the desired switch settings.

Q. How soon can I expect to see results after installing my BirdGard?

A. Often results are immediate, but allow two to three weeks for desired results. If birds have had easy access to grain for example, it will take them some time to learn to forage in the wild.
